Ter-Petrosian ‘Ready’ To Talk To Government [armenialiberty.org]

Former President Levon Ter-Petrosian on Friday expressed readiness to engage in dialogue with Armenia’s leadership and indicated that he will avoid staging the kind of street protests that could lead to a repeat of deadly post-election violence in Yerevan.

In his first public speech since the March 1 clashes in Yerevan between his supporters and security forces, Ter-Petrosian also accused Western powers and organizations of betraying the cause of Armenia’s democratization with their largely positive assessment of last February’s “disgraceful” presidential election. click here to continue
